    Default Forum Rules Please Read!

Welcome to Questing Knight Games forum. In order to make your stay as pleasant and constructive as possible please take your time to read through this document, it will help you navigate the pits and traps this community has created for new members These rules can be changed without notice though normally we announce changes via announcement in all the forums, on the whole these forums are mainly for the use of the QKG and STAGS gaming community to discuss gaming activities run at STAGS, gaming products and other products stocked at the Questing Knight Games store and gaming events at STAGS games club and the QKG store. These forums are run by the staff of QKG store and this forum belongs to the QKG store.

    1) Read up before asking! There are tons of guides, FAQs and each forum has a dedicated Q&A thread with additional info.

    2) Respect the netiquette: Lurk and get to know the forum before you post.

    3) Keep the focus: Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved, locked or simply be deleted.

    4) Be nice to each other and respect the moderators. Profanity and personal insults will not be tolerated. If you have a problem with another member turn to the respective moderator and if the moderator can't help you send a private message to the Admin staff they will sort it out.

    5) Do not spam. No blatant advertising. No advertising of products or services or events or activities not associated with STAGS or QKG store.

    6) No warez, cracks, serials or illegally obtained copyrighted content! Links to any content of a questionable nature, or of a nature not directly linked to topics or these boards, asking for, offering, or asking for help/helping to process such content in any way or form is not tolerated.

    7) Keep the size of personal images down.

    8) No cross posting. Post your message once and once only, to the appropriate forum and nowhere else or it will be locked or deleted without warning.

    10) Do not send questions pertaining to topics of discussion on this board via personal messages or email to Moderators or Admins, they will be ignored.

    11) Don't post just to increase your number of posts and do not post in the same thread multiple times, let other people answer your posting. If you have nothing to say on a certain matter then don't post. The number of posts on this board has no direct relation to the experience of a member.

    12) Do not place topics on this forum that may bring this forum into disrepute due to content of a political or religious or sexual or personal nature to do so will get you banned

    (admin descretion)

    20) QKG/STAGS hosts and allocates its club resources to a number of " club supported" game systems and prioritizes the allocation of these resources in the following manner for Games Workshop systems such as 40k and Warhammer, for Historical 28mm war gaming such as the Black Powder system, Operation Squad WW2, Hail Ceaser for Ancients, please note we do NOT support 15mm systems at this time, and Collectible Card Games such as magic The gathering and many other other QKG stocked game systems. Other systems maybe played upon request and provided there are sufficient club resources available this is up to the STAGS committee and events resource organizer. Please keep all postings relevant to their supported subject/game headings. If you wish to provide links or open discussion on a non QKG stocked game system or STAGS non supported game system or other internet sites please check with the admin first! If you do not your link will be deleted. Selling of items is NOT ALLOWED on this site in all matters please check with the admin first.

Thank you for your co-operation in all matters of the above rules and regulations, please bare in mind the admins decision is final on all things forum related.

How NOT to post on this forum: Or how to get banned quickly

A few minutes after your initial post you reply to your own post writing something like "Why is nobody helping me? I'm sure you know the answer". Once somebody replies to your thread but doesn't give you exactly the answer you've been expecting you insult them, Posting multiple times in a thread can get you banned.
Do not ask "what's best" because this question cannot be answered objectively. Each and everyone has their own view about what's best in a certain area. The best is what works best for you!
If you don't comply with these rules you'll have to face a set of sanctions.
Sanctions - or what awaits you if you don't stick to the forum rules
We have a very active moderation team and a lot of members who will remind you of the rules should you not stick to them, be it for not having read them properly or for simply not caring.
As in real life, there must be some measures put into place for people who keep infringing these rules, in real life it's the penal code, here it is these sanctions:
Each moderator can report you for violating a forum rule. Such a report contains a timestamp, the forum rule you violated and the post in question. Such a report will result in you getting a "strike". The report will point out the number of strikes left until will be suspended (more about that later) A violation of rules 4 or 6 will result in two strikes (per offense) rather than one, because we feel that violating them does serious harm to this community. As in baseball "3 strikes and you're out", though in this case the 3 strikes have to occur within a month's time or they will be forgotten. A suspension involves the following:
    • No access to user profiles
    • Modification of the user profile is disabled
    • Posting is disabled
    • Downloading attachments is disabled
    • Private messaging is disabled
After 30 days of suspension your account maybe reinstated at the admins discretion. The strike list will start from zero again. If a member should continue to violate forum rules and gets suspended once more his/her account will be terminated without further notice.
If you wish to contest a strike send a PM to the Admin with a reference to the post in question and an explanation why you think the strike is not justified. In case of a suspension you can send a complaint to the Admin labeled Suspension Query. The email is only to be used in case of a suspension and you forfeit your right to an appeal if you use it to contest a regular strike not leading to a suspension. By publicly complaining about a strike in any way (starting with pointing out "I've been striked for this and that"), or go badmouthing this forum and its members on another board you also forfeit your rights to an appeal and the strike will be permanent without exception.
A note about attachments: Each attachment has to be validated by a moderator to ensure no unwanted content is being posted. Therefore your attachments won't be visible immediately after you upload, but only after a moderator has checked them which can take some time.
