The Blake Documents: Preview

Catalyst have put up a preview of The Blake Documents. It looks like they have a lot of stuff in the book, new mechs, rules, background and all sorts.

The preview mech is of the Raptor II, which looks pretty imba!

The Raptor 2 looks nice., but it looks more like a Stilletto 2 than a Raptor 2.

And you would have thought that the mech would be all smooth and such to make better use of mimetics.

I hope that Kurita gets that mech, cus the Wobbies are using our tech.

Well, it's my understanding that the 'tech stealth systems rely on electronics and heat baffling rather than trying to blend in or anything, so the shape doesn't really matter (which is why I guess a Capellan Marauder or Warhammer can benefit from the null-sig systems).

I'd LIKE for the Raptor II to be a DCMS mech as well, but I'm not holding my breath. I think the WoB are supposed to be a threat that was as great as the Clans when they first invaded, so I think they are definately going to have a technological edge compared to everyone else.

Still, mech-tasers are a Solaris weapon, so where's my Locust 6S7 with a pair of them?

Anyway, you can always take one as an NSU. =P

[The Question]

WoB have been using battle armor scale mech tasers for a while now. First came up in Combat Equipment. Simple matter to upgrade them to Mech Scale, ditto with the Purifer Armour memetic stuff which this new raptor supposedly has.
