RIght i know theres been a lot of talk and interest in this but if its gonna happen we need to know who is definetly going to commit to it so can everyone who will definetly take part post here by this sunday. If not enough people have replied by then it wont happen, simple as, so please post ASAP

No rules for this tournament have been posted by whoevers organising it so i dont know if i can play. Are armies required to be painted whats the points values and so on, people have all posted suggestions in the other thread but noone has confirmed anything as far as i know.

I'm up to play - can field Empire and loan out if anyone needs - can't guarantee 1500 points painted - but can do 750.

Ash and dave this is what im talking about; Yes or no! not maybe which is it please. And Carl and rob we're still sticking to two players with 750pts to make a total of 1500 aside. The rest of the rules will be confirmed once we know how many ppl are playing because at this rate if no one else posts by tomorow its not happening because there aren't enough people

Right first of all let me apologize for taking so long to reply; my internet has been out of action all week and i have only just got it back.
As for the doubles tournement you need 750pts painted, based is also good but not essential. The games will be standard pitch battles that last 4 turns. The reason for this is we need to fit 3 games in each and have time to get the tables set up and wait for players to turn up etc.
I will confirm the date at this club and i also want you all to tell me your teams by this stags too please.
What team restrictions are we using? Doubles Grand tournement or Warhammer rule book?
Games lasting 4 turns? This is gunna end in awesome reckless displays just to get that extra round of close combat fighting :D
This is also gunna hurt those daemon players who rely on close quarter fighting, which is good because theyre disgusting.
On the other hand it is preferable to the sort of "first game has full 6 turns while last game tries to squeeze in just two" tournie play.
Yeh we'd never fit three games in if we did 6 turns each. Go by the table in the rulebook pils

Well me and Kyle are teaming up, Vampires and Vampires.
I think Jase and Dave are teaming their skaven armies up

Right, I can now join in the tournie on the next STAGs day (aint gunna join the race roster).
As Jase said, we're the skaven team.
Unfortunately for all of us we can no longer do a doubles tournment (even with dave back) because rob has dropped out as he cannot confirm whether he'll be at the next stags due to football season starting up. And ash still hasnt told me whether he's in or out and as he wasnt at the last stags im not risking him not turning up next week.
So We're going with a good old fashioned knock out tournement, 1000pts all painted, standard pitch battle. 1st place gets a voucher for a £50 battalion box set and 2nd place gets a voucher for an £18 box set.

So wait, now it's a singles knock out?
Unless your gunna give out some "byes" (moving someone onto next round without winning a game) this will work exactly the same as a doubles knock out.
Also this will mean that some people might be deterred from entering due to certain armies being overpowered. With doubles games, you must rely on your partner, making a more fair game.
I dont have a 1000pts so im gone :(
I have 1000 points but won't be able to get it painted by next STAGs. Thats over 100 models.
Once again sorry for late reply internet is being a pain in the backside. The Idea was to go ahead with the tournement next stags (im sorry id thought id written that in the previous post). Dave there will be bys as there is an odd number of players and yes doubles would have been better but like we said before its not gonna happen as there arent enough confirmed players so we have to go with a singles

I really hope the next tournament is organised better than that, if u specify that armies must be painted then you stick to it especialy as you are a GCN club and must follow GW's guidelines. I would have turned up to play today had i known that the rules would just be thrown out of the window because the committee didnt have the backbone to enforce painted only!
Right then thankyou to everyone who took part in the tournement, even though it was small think it worked well and everyone seemed to have a lot of fun. Well done to dave who kicked ass and came first and to dan for coming second
