View Full Version : HMP 3075 Datafiles
I've made some datafiles for Heavy Metal Pro based on TRO 3075. So far I've only made the basic Inner Sphere designs. Basically the 3075 faction designs and the old Star League designs featured in the book.
Not everything in the book is actually 3075, there's a lot of updated Dark Age designs, some fairly generic stuff and a huge pile of ancient star league era mechs.
There's also some mechs missing. Any mech with MMLs I can't add because the current version of HMP doesn't support them. Likewise, with the industrial mechs that use FUEL CELL engines. HMP doesn't support fuel cell engines either, and you can't add custom engines. I'm also not a skilled enough programmer to edit HMP to do it, so you're out of luck!
I've not done the clan mechs yet either, nor have I done the WoB omni-mechs. I'll add them in their own ZIP files soon enough though.
Anyway, you can grab the zipped datafiles HERE (http://www.imperialcross.co.uk/mechs/ISMechs3075.zip).
Enjoy.

I have some of the WoB Omnimechs done as files on my computer, however HMP doesnt support Retractable Blades so those Omni configuations are right out.
You can actually work the retractable blade in. You just make it a piece of equipment in the weapon editor and add it that way and it fits fine.
I just got done adding the Malek omnimech. Also, apart from the weapons, the other stuff that the WoB mechs use (compact cockpit, heavy ferrofibrous, XL gyro etc etc) is all from Maximum Tech so it's already in HMP.
There's a couple of things that require you add them as equipment in the weapon editor. Searchlights (the ones that take up a crit slot), Comm Computers, etc.
The ones that you can't add are things that are split over various criticals, like the environmental sealing (the salvage mech has 5.5 tons of it split over 7 crits) and weapons like the MML (it has two seperate profiles which are handled different to the ATM and HMP doesn't support that).

Could you put the MML in by putting in the one profile complete with weights and everything less one critical. Then make the second half of the profile fit in the leftover crit and put it at no weight?
Might be worth a try.

It's possible, but it'd be rather complicated. I think it could work as a temporary fix, so I'll give a tree. It will however mean that the WVs are wildly innacurate and you'll need to refer the TRO's for the BV of the mech (another reason to buy them).

Hopefully it's only a matter of time until they upgarde Heavy Metal anyway.

Out of quriosity, how did you do the variable damage? I gave up after a while so if you can tell m how to do it, it would save a lot of headaches.
I didn't put in a damage value for it I don't think (I might have just put a * for it). I just added it as a piece of a equipment that took up criticals and tons so that it would at least come out marked on a valid mech sheet.
That really is the only way to add extra close combat weapons in HMP. It's the same thing as was done with the melee weapons on the dark age mech datafiles.

Could you fit the formula for the d'marge in the weapon description or just type it in the damage section, or summit?
Might be worth a try.
