these are two of my stander bearers, both of their banners arnt finished so im going to show you how im going to finish them and show how i did them... :D

with the first banner (the choas symbol of slannesh) it was done in a series of steps... first of all i found the image in the hoards of choas book, (the banner).
then i made sure i had everything i needed to start work on the banner, the colours used were
[Umber (very Dark brown), Orange, Lich purple (dark purple), Fuchsia (Very strong pink), Apricot (Sandy orange/yellow), white, Black)

once undercoated with choas black, i started the to mark out the design with white (it doesnt matter how mess you are but it helps if you keep the paint to a minium) if you make to many mistakes you might want to go over the white with black to redefine areas, once you are happy you can start work on the background, what i did was use the lich purple as a base tone and slowly work up with the pink and touch it up with white, to a triangle at every point, once i did this i let it dry to make sure no smugging happened, then i blocked in the colours, using a mixture of orange and umber i created a dark orange which i used to base the design, then work up with the orange and sand colours untill i was happy, (on the model picture you can see the top two spikes are at this stage) then using the white i highlighted areas which needed to and using the umber i darkened the areas i wanted to be darkened, using a fine brush i marked down the straight lines with umber or choas black, then using all the colours to tidy bits up, and to finish it off using the smallest sharpest brush dipped in a bit of white to make the inside pattern, (you will have to do this many times beacuse the paint drys fast!... and dont forget to wash your brush every so often)
and there you have it, one banner ready to lead your forces into combat!

and thus the finished prouduct!

(i wouldnt recommend using white or black to cover large areas beacuse it is very difficult!)

(still undergoing painting but feel free to comment)
