Okies once again the battle of gettysburg anniversary (july 1-3) will be upon us and it maybe time to blow the dust off the troops and get them good ole boys back into action anyone interested? if so sign up or make your mark here date for a game would be say July 13th this is the first stags in july and provided we dont have about 400 people wanting to play, this is what seems to be playing in the WW2 right now :) we shouldnt affect anyone in the hall and it shouldnt affect the warhammer or the ww2 campaign dates.

WHAT side you are playing UNION or CONFEDERATE OR if you can go on either side on the day as required and dont mind?

HOW many regiments you can field that are painted and based (even if you only paint the bases they must be based)

well I only paint to gaming standards, so that makes things a little quicker, I find thats best when its blocks of troops, they usually look fine from the distance on the table :D

I'll be there with my 1st Georgia Regulars for Confederates (turns out that Georgia actually raised a few union regiments as well lol) and whatever Mr Davies is kind enough to lend me on the day:D

The Question

I'll be there with the 1st, 4th and 5th Texas, and the 3rd Arkansas (all 32 castings strong) . Plus at least a demi-battery of guns, led by John Bell Hood.

I might have 1 regiment less, due to the weather being evil all week, and long work shifts, but should still at least have 2 infantry and 1 cavalry, which is better than nothing

Firstly I'd like to take this oppertunity to congratulate our opponants Andy and Jeff for their victory in todays hard fought battle , I'd also like to thank Alan for running an excellent game and the terrain looked fantastic as always . And I'd like to say to my fellow Southern Generals we'll get them God darn Yankees next time , and next time my dice rolls may be alot better lol . Sometime I'll finish my army off so I'll have more Rebs on the field of glory to hopefully push back the wall of Blue Bellies , when I get a chance I'll paint up more recruits from Louisiana for the Confederacy so once again cool battle shame we couldn't do more against them Yankees but never mind all that matters is that it was a great battle and everyone enjoyed themselves .

As much as its nice to win for a change I like to say thanks to all players today. The game was played in a good spirit and made the day very enjoyable. Although we won (well mainly Andy) I think part was some very bad dice rolls on Rebel side however being rebellious scum we on the blue side have little sympathy LOL.

Looks like Col Sanders receipe will soon be in Union hands.

Long Live the Union
