Painting Pledge

With the events next year in mind and quite a few people with unpainted armies I propose a painting pledge over the Christmas Break.

I hope this will motivate a bunch of us to get our stuff painted ready for the new venue.

Anyone is free to pledge any amount, large or small but there are a few rules.

1. Make your pledge in this thread.
2. Pledges must be completed by 5th Feb 2012.
3. You can keep adding to a pledge but once you've pledged it you can't retract it.
4. Photos of your progress would be great.

I'll start off and pledge a 45 man Renegade Militia Platoon and my remaining 22 Plague Zombies.

Ok so as most of you know i am possibly the worlds slowest painter and this is probably just what i need to get the paint flowing. So i pledge to get the remainder of my 2000pt ogre list. which means i have:

i was going to do 5 harlequins... but then i saw my flagship raider still needed painted... so i got side tracked and im painting that... after i have done it i will try finish as many harlequins as possible :O

Ash you so know thats gonna be murder for you! I pledged last stags to get my 50 tombguard and then 12 chariots painted. I got the tomb guard done last week so just chariots to go now! Then im ready to start my reiksguard knight army!

As for hosting photos I use Imagebam. Follow the instructions to upload them and then once they upload it should show you each picture with 3 lines next to it. One should say HTML code, just copy and paste that into the thread.

Thought id best keep up my end of the bargain on the painting pledge! I was supposed to paint 12 chariots, and that still may happen but i was side tracked by some other tomb king things! I got all of my horsemen sorted (28 of em) i finished my 6 tomb swarms, painted the last 32 of my warriors and based all my 50 Tomb guard and everything else i painted this Christmas. Next up i got hold of two high elf griffons from isle of blood and converted them to more of a Khemri feel by putting tomb guard on them instead of the prince guy (these guys are for Storm of Magic which i finally purchased :). AND FINALLY i wanted a Heirotitan, so i built me one. Any comments welcome guys as the heirotitan isn't painted yet so i can still change things!

That is some finconverstion work on the titan, i mean reeally bravo, great job, once painted and based that will be a really great centre piece for your army, be proud!

Thanks guys means a lot. I think im going to make another titan similar to use as my bone giant. I just hate how small the bone giant is compared to other giants and how goofy they look.

I agree with your view on the Bone Giant. Games Workshop could have done a better job but you never know if they'll do a new release for it
