The committee has now decided the rules/regulations for the official STAGS 40K Tournament 2011.

These will be:

The first round of the 2011 40K Tournament is scheduled to be held on the 20th of November 2011. This will be on a non STAGS Sunday with the final round being held the following week on the 27th of November 2011. The first round day will begin at 10 AM and will finish at 5:30 PM.

There will be a 1500 points limit on armies. All armies must be a legal force to participate in standard games. All models must be fully painted and based to an acceptable standard (minimum of 3 basic colours upon a model) and all entries must bring their armies Codex, dice, tape measure and templates to the event.

The first round will be a round robin with a random draw within the first game. Three games will be played on the day with each game having a time limit of 2 hours to be completed in. Each game will have the deployment/game types determined before the event with all three standard deployment types and all three standard game types being used upon the day.

The Victory categories will be Victory, Draw, Loss. With two points awared for a victory and one point awarded for a draw. Victory points should also be recorded after each battle to assist with determing standings in the case of a equal points value.

After the first round, players will be assigned to play each other based on their points totals for the following two rounds.

At the end of the day, the top four in rankings will be put through to the final at the following STAGS Club. Where first place will play fourth and second to play third in a semi final.

Winners of the semi Final will play each other to determine the ultimate Champion. With the two loosers squaring off in a battle to determine third place.

Prizes will be for first, second and third. Prizes will also be awarded for the best painted army (voted for by the Tournament Organisers) and best sportsman (voted for by the players of the Tournament)

Prize Money will be:

First Place: 30 Pounds
Second Place: 20 Pounds
Third Place: 10 Pounds
Best Painted: 10 Pounds
Best Sportsman: 10 Pounds

Entry fee will be 5 pounds and all army lists and payment of entry fee must be completed and handed to Biff by 23rd of October. Army lists will be checked and any necessary amendments must be completed by the 6th of November

I'm definitley in for this. I'm already painting the army as it could take me until November to finish.

Quick question, does the £5 entry fee include all club entry fees for the tournament days or are they payable aswell.

Good to see the tournie points limit back up to 1500, the game is more balanced at that level (rather than 1000). Might even be an incentive to get my army finished.

Dependent, as always on whether or not my armies have arrived from their warp transit I may throw my hat in on this occasion.

Due to lack of interest the 40K Tournament has been cancelled this year. Please continue to provide feedback about the type of events you want running at the club to ensure that pick up is better of the events we plan next year
