On July 5th the long awaited attack by the Germans began , massive minefields and layered defensive lines of the Soviet Union position slowed down the German advance and reduced it to a narrow frontage .
By July 12th the Northern pincer had bogged down , but the 2nd Panzer Korps were making some progress in the South .The Russians then launched their own counter offenisve and deployed the Russian 5th Guards tank army for what is now known as one of the biggest tank battles of the 20th
Century .

1, German/Axis forces deploy first .
2, German/Axis forces deploy in any whole hex in their deployment area ( each table will hopefully have six map sections on fighting up the table ) .
3, Russian players deploy anywere within five hexes in their own deployment area .
4, The battle will last 7 game turns .
5, Each player gets victory points of each enemy unit destroyed .
6, Both sides get fifty bonus points for every Tiger/KV-1 they destroy .
7, Both side gain an extra 100 victory points for having more units in the enemy deployment area .

Good game today nice and quick and no messing about, was fun to be teamed up with the italians who seem to have some nice equipment actually, only thing was "we couldnt see the russians for the trees" Literarily ! darn those scrub lands and wood lands :)
So thanks bigmark for the scenario, jeffh for playing "enemy" and getting a good win, and little mark for the support from his italians, overall good game :D

I think without scrub my Russians would have been in trouble. Good game the system is simple and works well. Glad I knocked of few pesky Italians for a sneaky win. I hate to have face that 88 or Semo's over more open ground.

I'm sorry for not replying straight away as I've been very busy with domestic chores at home ect , I'm glad you all enjoyed yourselves the next scenario will be in April and all players involved will need to have 300 points I'll keep you informed of the details nearer the time .
I'd like to congratulate the Russian players Rob and Jeff for winning :o , my dice was dreadfull that day the worst I've seen but anyway I had fun that's the main point my cunning plan lay in ruins but hay never mind we'll get revenge .
