hey Guys and Girls, Im going to start officail events again soon and hope to run a tournement towards the end of feb/begining of March (depending on club activitys and ok obviously) before i set anything in stone id like to have an idea of how many players are likley to be involved? will prob use a 35pt list with a level 2 max for those factions with (books) tiers availiable.
if your up for it give me a shout and ill plan accordingly

Count me in mate. I assume it will be a fully painted event?
Count me in, won't have the Cygnar force painted and tested by then so i'll go with Khador.
im not going to demand fully painted but 3 colour minimum would be preferred!
quick recap on numbers there are 5 of us atm (including myself) would be good to hit 8 more would be better so start kicking people and ill sort time off work to confirm a date

as previously stated it will be using MK2 rules at a 35pt level with no more than a lvl 2 force for anyone using retribution (or cygnar if the book is out in time) i will use the basics of steamroller 4 but may vary the scenarios if i need to for ease of play :) will announce the full details before the date.
Can all interested players submit the armylists they intend to use to me through PM before the 28/02/10 that will give me 2 weeks to check them (and then lose them lol)

Hey guys having had a chat with a few of the more regular club goers today i have been reminded just how important painted armies are. So im going to make the tournement painted figs only i know for some of you that is a lot of work but you have 6 weeks to sort out 25(+'jack/'beast allowance)pts and get it painted.
whilst im setting rules you will also need a copy of the rulebook, templates, and the relevent cards for your faction (duh) those playing Hordes will need to ensure they have the updates to the Hordes mk2 playtest and copies of their cards printed and legible.

does this mean that the tournament is now 25 points as you initially said 35 points.

I would imagine you've ran many more tourny's than I have Docster, but I'm just concerned we won't get all the games finished if we play 35 point rounds.
Is it worth looking at 25 as this is a faster game and easier to paint & prepare?

hopefully ill work that out for definate on sunday dude. I honestly think with the scenario rules it should be easy enough to get 3 games and a break in 4 hours,

Are we using one list or two?
you can bring two lists they have to be from the same faction but thats it they can be completly differant in all other regaurds.
Bonzza. Will get the old ibodger out and see what I can have. Then see whats painted.
Have the new rule book and stat cards now so i'll be along for this club with the Khador, lets see if I can't turn around my terrible losing streak : p and get a half decent army sorted out.
Good to hear you're coming back Matt, I don't like getting killed by the newbies lol, it's so shameful. :D

Be nice to give them a good fielding, painting them at the moment and they will be ready in time :)

4 of us tired the competition rules today. We got two games in each, we think that 3 games of 35 points will be very hard to do in normal club time.
Perhaps we should make it 25 mate?
Then we will have no problem

I agree with zeb on this. Although i wanna play 35pts as I'm struggling with a 25pt list i do feel that 35pts will feel uduly rushed and it wont be as enjoyable for the players.

Might be an idea to post who you've got signed up that way everyones clear on who's gonna be there.
Players confirmed are; Chris, Mozza, Matty, Zeb, Tim Williams , Bad mr frosty (sorry not sure what your real name is) Mat F and Andy Mac. I will fill in for any non attendees but hopefully you will all be here!
I should be at the club on sunday (28th) to collect the army lists from those of you that havent yet mailed them to me anyone who cant be there please use the email addy posted above or send them as a PM on this forum thanks

Sorry about it being late, but have now e mithered my list across to yer old Doco!:)
ok guys have had most lists in now seem to be missing Andy Mac and Tim Williams as i cant find them on the forum can anyone who knows them bug them for me please pass on my email etc if they do not have it
hopefully i will have first round pairings and table allocations etc arranged before i even lay a table out how organised would that be?!

Also a BIG THANKS to ALAN for moving the lunchtime to make our life easier that was immense!
I will start looking at running a few linked scenarios in the next few clubs and will plan the next tournement aswell (when i can sort dates out i will let you all know) Next event will have prizes so start thinking about how much your willing to pony up!
