Ragnars Company Banner

First Pics of my Space Wolves, im planning on doing Rangar Blackmanes great company as Pills has dibs on Logans boys. So the first thing i wanted was a personalised banner to inspire me to paint the rest of the company. The script work are transfers taken from sisters of battle (thanks ladies) the Ragnar banner and script was hand painted.

I want the company to have a well worn and dirty look so the cloak has dried mud as does his armour, i also wanted the armour to be chipped so rather than paint silver edges after the space wolf grey was painted (like GW always do) i planned which areas i wanted damaged and painted them with gun metal grey and inked it, then painted the fenris grey and so on being very carefull to leave the silver on the edges showing through. I first saw this style used on warmachine figures and i think is much better because it looks like the paint has been chipped away leaving the damage.

This figure was converted using one of the chaps from the masters of the chapter box, the banner came from the command squad box finaly the head and other bits are from space pup parts.

Next up some Long Fangs !

It is a nice paint job thats been done on it, i've seen it in person and it is a top job, i gues i should allow it into the Chapter :p

its a nice use of the sisters of battle transfer set for the text. iv found it really useful
