At Imperial date 555 we arrived from warp travel to take standard fleet formation and station above Celestra with the objective being to conduct planet fall operations. We found there to be very little or no enemy fleet activity around Celestra and at once began relief operations, the Black Wings under the command of Master Draken supported by ground troops of the Legio Imperious and 5th Company Imperial Fists made planet fall. These ground troops supported by active elements of the Leminkainen Ministry and elements of the Order of the Esir met with heavy enemy resistance.
Enemy units encountered comprised mainly of Chaos forces no green skin units were encountered, our initial information that these maybe the forces of one Daemon Prince Car’tagiä proved accurate, it should be noted that the forces encountered were sizable, coherent and should not be underestimated.
Our force has from reports received established a good initial landing zone on planet, it is with the utmost urgency that we must now commit our heavy equipment and begin a full scale break out of this landing zone.
Our resolve and strategic situation are excellent, we shall endeavour to prevail and rid Celestra of this threat, I am today proud of the men and women under our command may the emperors light continue to enlighten their path to victory.

My Fleet has arrived from the Warp with no opposition encountered as we secured orbital station - my congratulations on your successful landing operation to secure Landing Zone for our forces, we received the comms messages from Princeps Fox.
My Fleet awaits your instruction as to disposal patterns in the system. Our initial scans have revealed warp signatures that are non-Imperial standards on the far side of Leminkainen. I have desptached Red Squadron to scout the system and report back. I have instructed that no engagement should be attempted at this stage. Mission successfully completed as ordered - preliminary scouting mission of system. No losses to report from squadron.
We left station from Celestra and undertook a full sweep using search patterns Theta 5 and Gamme 6 as ordered. Scanners report no capital ship signatures in sysem. Warp trails indicate that any presence in system has departed at least 10 solar cycles ago.
We have detected a large ork vessel of the 'Rok' class - as ordered we maintained sufficient distance from the vessel to avoid direct contact. The Orks have detected us and launched an intercept party of 2 Ravager Attack Ships and 3 squadrons of Fighter bombers. The enagegement was short and resulted in 1 downed Ravager Atttack shop and the destructuion of 6 Fighter Bombers for no loss. Ork Torpedo technology was poor and all launches failed to close to range before our defence systems were able to destroy them. Cobra 2 Red Squadron receives Salutations for the successful Torpedo strike. Let this be declared the first success for the Fleet and many to follow.
Initial Long range scans of Lemikanen show considerable energy bursts in the primary continent at regular intervals. This suggests that significant combat action is taking place on the surface. We were also able to identify energy signals and radio waves from Imperial channels, but have been unable to decode the transmissions. Further transmissions reflect both Ork and Renegade transmission patterns.
We are making haste to return to Celstra orbit as ordered

Currently as regards the Leminkainen situation iwe have ground forces on Celestra and Captain Mandar Hershey has established a high orbit security zone so that we may begin unloading our heavy equipment, some contact has been made by elements of Captain Hershey’s fleet this was with Ork vessels as of yet no Chaos fleet elements have been encountered around Celestra orbits as of this time we are led to believe that the chaos fleet may have withdrawn upon our arrival, leaving their forces on Celestra. However it would be foolish to assume that they will not at some point return to aid their ground forces, we place our trust in Captain Hershey’s hands on this matter.
More information maybe available from Master Draken on the current situation of Celestra ground operations if you wish as he has now taken formal command and is presently setting up a viable chain of command. Fleet Dispersal complete - adopting pattern Bravo 2 6. Primary fleet assets are in Middle orbit of Celestra. 1st Company under Captain Duroc are now en route to Orbital Defence station. My Company have completed the assigned mission and the station has now been secured. No hostiles were encountered. Platoons 1 and 3 have completed full sweep of the facility. No surviving crew members have been found within the station. No bodies have been recovered, but there are substantial signs of multiple fire-fight’s in most sectors of the station. We have identified some organic remains which indicate close combat action. From the destruction and glyphs defacing the station it appears that Ork foot-soldiers were responsible for the assault. I pray for the souls of the crew of the station and hope they died quickly.
Hull Breach has been confirmed in Sector 10 and 11 affecting crew quarters. Engineer assistance is now on route to begin repairs. The affected sectors have been sealed off and the breach fully contained.
Initial analysis indicates that all systems appear to be function normally and weapon systems are fully operational. 2nd Platoon have begun to bring systems in line, but limited technical knowledge of systems will slow the process. We request support from TechPriest Enginseer Rathmore and his Servitors to complete operations and bring main defence weapons on line.

Initial contact made with enemy forces. Two platoons of my company supported by heavy support squads formed part of an initial holding action against a chaos thrust. Our force also comprised elements of two space marine chapters. The action was co-ordinated by Chapter Master Drakken of the black Wings.
Our forces were positioned alongside a valley occupying ambush routes to prevent chaos incursions south towards Alpha Caminus. 5th Company units provided fire support and blocking force at the far end of the valley. I regret to say that the bulk of the fighting was handled by the Marine chapters, whose success in stalling the enemy advance was heroic despite significant casualties. 5th company were relatively lightly engaged, primarily dealing with Chaos marine Infiltration units. We report the destruction of two chaos marine squads and claim two heavily clad terminators during the action. Imperial Navy Thunderbolts played a significant part in the action and can be credited with the destruction of a demonic entity.
The engagement was a complete success with the chaos thrusts stalled and significant destruction of armoured units.
I regret to announce the loss of three squads from 2nd and 3rd Platoon during the engagement. All squads were heavily mauled in hand to hand combat. 2 Non-commissioned Officers and 14 OR KIA. 1 Non-Commissioned Officer and 8 OR evacuated to medical facilities and expected to return to duty after medical treatment and cybernetic treatment for limbs lost in combat. Remaining troopers formed into partial squad.
5th Company now stands at 75% effectiveness. Replacements for casualties would be welcome.

My fellow Commanders, I have been cleared by Inquisitres Guinn to brief you on a recent undercover operation to rescue a certain unnamed Inquisitor Lord.
A scouting party in the mountain province to the East had picked up an uncoded transmission sent on a chaos carier wave regarding the transfer of an unknown package.
Firstly such an overwhelming breach in security on part of a chaos commander would have always been considered a trap. Indeed it was but later transmissions regarding other completely irrelevant transmissions were followed up and found to be correct.
This tap into chaos communications systems was then forwarded to my celestian's from which with the aid of native P.D.F. Marine Forces created a rapid strike force to recover our captured Brother.
Indeed I had decided to keep this classified as to keep the breach as open as long as possible. If you wish to receive crib notes on recorded transmissions please let me know.
I must ask you my fellow commanders a number of Holy Machines (penitent engines) were lost to use on the field of the bloodied battlefield.

We have lost one of our Light Crusiers 'Arbiter' - the garbled transmissions suggest demonic posession name of a being "Sythien Lequa... keeper of the flame". This craft was one of the holding fleet vessels in Celestra orbit - it has crashed into North Tractus. The emperor protect their souls. Once I learnt of this disaster I ordered an immediate arial bombardment of the area - I pray this has cleansed the area of any foulness which escaped the explosions.
Once again 3rd Air Wing will provide Transport support to your forces. The air wing will also return 5th Company to Celestra to aid the defensive operations.

Situation Report following contact with initial Chaos Fleet probe.
My force identified warp signatures of Chaos fleet encroaching on our protection Zone. Sensors identified two crusier class ships and three escorts. My patrol consisted of Gothic Class Crusier "Invincible", Dauntless Class Light Crusier "Havok" and 2 squadrons of Cobra Escorts, "Alpha" and "White".
Our engagement tactics worked with escorts undertaking wide sweeps, allowing the crusiers to undertake the direct assault, resulting in the Chaos forces disengaging back to the warp. I am pleased to report the total destruction of one Chaos Crusier and one escort. White squadron adminstering the final blow to the enemy crusier with a salvo of Torpedoes.
Our loses were minimal, one Cobra escort from "Alpha" squadron being destroyed in return. We have commended the souls of those lost to the emperors mercy. Survivors are being picked up in escape pods.

After veiwing the options i can take as regard the offensive i have come to the conclutuion that the best way to conduct the attack will be to begin it at 00:01 local time and engage in a full scale assault (Operation Divinity). This will consist of 3 main elements:
- Operation Hammerfall (surgical deepstrikes by marines)
to strike at command and control centres
- Operation Linebacker ( air campaign)
- Operation Hrist Rising (major ground offensive)

This great holliday is a time of respect for the saints of the imperium,
it is also a time in which new saints would be considered to join their ranks.
On this day we prey for the newest saint of the Order of the Esir.
The former sister hospitalier who had guided Cannones Kalera to a lost relic of an emperium past.
the sister who was chosen by our god Emperor to guid our Orders hand in the rediscovery of the artifact,
"the spear of celestra".
she was guided by the light of the emperor through deep prayer and meditation in which the emperor
himself had appeared and shown our own "Sister Hrist Hallerna" the original placement of the artifact
millenia before. The emperor himself setting the spear whithin the grip of a statuet clad in
turquise power Armour that projected an aurer of deepest purple. a golden halo above the head of the statuet.
as he placed the care of this weapon in the statuets grasp he proclamed,
"In a future when old ways are remembered and honourd this statue shall give up her gifts, this great temple shall be lost but
upon its assention back into the light of the emperor, it shall provide a greatest gift, a saint that shall be one of the first of

Nodding, the Marine turned. He had recalled the hastily assembled meeting well between the masters of the council… How the Ministry and the assembled Chapter Elite had convened and discussed at length the actions to be taken and how best to proceed in the ongoing struggles within the Leminkainen Systems.

Brothers, I bear grave news most troubling. It appears the chaos foothold upon this planet is increasing. It is with a heavy heart i confirm the presence of a widespread demonic incursion. While leading the efforts to fortify positions and cement our advances my forces were struck by a vast legion of demonic troops eschewing forth around key bastions on the front line.
The key Outposts of Damocles 37C and D were festooned with demonic taint, the very air around them was beginning to warp with demonic energies. The only option that remained was to eradicate the bastions with intense melta fire, and purify the ground. My close friend Halkor sacrificed his own life utilising his psychic abilities to close the demonic rifts. A noble sacrifice in the name of the emperor.
More troubling however, my scouts identified a large corrupt Land radier with peculiar markings lingering in the distance of the fray, unwilling to commit to the battle.
Good and bad news now, It appears that this demonic host was lead by no less than 4 greater demons, with the legendary demon referred to as 'fateweaver' leading the incursion. The good news however is that 2 of these demons were destroyed, one i personally slew in combat. Better still Fateweaver was destroyed, its body wracked with the emperors hammers, with the emperors blessing it will be some time before it is able to reappear.
I hearby request sanctification be performed immediately upon this sector and that it be cordoned as uninhabitable until otherwise approved by the inquisition. Today Crimson Fist forces under the command of Captain Rykard were dispatched to retrieve the experimental disruptor beacons that where stranded in sector XXXX on route to the Beneficium. A relief force of Sister of battle was also dispatched to aid in the beacons retrieval. Just as the Imperial forces were entering the sector a massive warp rift opened and a vast horde of demons appeared. They were intent on destroying the disruptor beacons. The first wave of lesser demons was dispatch with ease thanks to librarian Epistolary Conroys efforts at disrupting the demons bond with the warp. The larger more powerful demonic entities proved more of a problem but 1 was taken down by an all out attack from the Land raider Rynn’s Honour. Two of the larger demons managed to engauge the beacon closet to the Crimson Fist positions. They were destroyed in hand to hand combat by Captain Rykard and his command squad. Thus securing the beacon for the emporer.
On the other side of the battlefield a large chariot born demon managed to destroy one of the beacons before being gunned down by the sisters of battle. At this point a fresh wave of demons entered through the warp lead by the abomination Fateweaver and four other greater demons. The fire fight intensified as the bulk of the greater demons went towards the sisters of battle positions. A large group of demonettes managed to destroy the central beacon. This left only one beacon under imperial control. More demonic force arrived including a corrupted Landraider this may be the same vehicle spotted by the Iron hand marines a few days earlier, as it too had strange markings. The chaos vehicle was taken out by the Rynn’s Honour with a direct multi-melta hit. Unfortunately one of the Crimson Fist predators was destroyed the demons in close assault.
Stranger still was the appearance of midway through the battle of a squad of the little seen but often spoken of Legion of the Damned. They failed to damaged the corrupted landraider before they were assaulted by large group axe wielding demons. With Epistolary Conroys powers still disrupting the demonic connection to the warp the Sister of battle soon managed to bring down the greater demons and the abomination Fateweaver. With the lose of their leader and two of the three beacons destroyed the demonic forces retreated back into the warp.
Unfortunatley this has to go down as a victory for the forces of chaos as we could only secure one of the disruptor beacons but even one beacon will help to secure the Beneficium against demonic incursions.

By this point you are likely aware of the scale of chaos attacks, if not then let me enlighten you.
It appears that your overwhelming successful campaign against the bitter, fallen, forces of chaos was little more than a ruse, designed to lul the forces of the imperium into a flase sense of victory. For you see the forces of chaos are now stronger then ever, demonic incursions are growing daily, warp rifts are becoming more powerful, allowing the re-emergence of greater demon lords, Fateweaver himself now appears to have a foothold permenently upon this planet, and our biter foes now marshall the God-Emperors mightiest weapon of war against us. The chaos Titans are here on planet.
This now is a truly terifying prospect, more terryfying however is the lack of leadership you have shown in combatting this threat. Every commander knows the deceitful ways of chaos, yet you wandered on assuming your campaign a success revelling in its glory for yourself and your precious chapter, a trait reserved for the followers of Slaanesh i might add!!! It is your task to ensure chaos cuts are routed out and destroyed yet apparently have done nothing to stem their tide, resultantly cultist ceremonies have increased the warp focus on this planet, tying in with a renewed assault. Clearly your success was not born of your mastery but of the dark gods revelry and cunning, questionable it is then how you were so trapped amidst the chaos lines, alone, and since when your precious chapter has not seen combat as the chaos attacks now increase in magnitude.
Master we are very much in the depths of a dark situation now. Swift action is required, I suggest you return your forces to active duty and assist in breaking the chaos foothold in the western hemisphere, specifically the forge, where our enemies even now repair their damaged constructs and prepare new machines of war.
As for the recent engagement, the Sorrgol clan destroyed one Warhound class titan, identified as the former 'Emperors Purgation XIII' its reactor went critical, and little now remains, while a second was heavily damaged and fled the field. However the damage they wrought meant that pursuit was heavily inadviseable.
Swiftly now i hope that the 35th Steel Green arrive to reinforce and bolster what is now a tenable position, In the meantime myself and the Iron Sons of the Sorrgol clan will begin repairing and renewing our fallen battle brothers and return them once more to the emperors service.
May the Emperors blessing be upon us, that the chaos forces are too diminished right now to launch another attack until reinforcements arrive. The imperial guard cannot arrive soon enough.

Kadran Stronos i do not need to justify myself to you the campaign against the chaos forces was very sucesfull and reaped a massive tally against the forces fo the enemy on this planet and the deamon threat is worrying however at this time they are not at a level sufficiant to send for the aid of the inquisition and have been sent back to the warp upon each of their appearences.
As for my lack of combat thier has been a lack of chaos forces in my area of operations and this request for forces to aid within the forge seems like a plea for aid to me but the issuer is to stubborn to just request aid like any other commander upon this planet however i will dispatch forces to this area and i will purge the chaos threat.

Let me assure you commander, if i had known the state you would have this planet in, festering with chaos taint, chaos titans maraurding the wilds, and a prominence of warp rifts escelating across the entire planet, then assure me i would have brought the entire sorrgol clan and would have wiped the face of this planet clean of chaos. As it is the 150 battle brothers here with me, have come face to face with the greatest threats that chaos posess, and have stodd victorious upon several battlefields, though the toll on us has been dire. These chaos weapons have reduced our numbers to a mere 50 battle brothers, my techmarines are now eagerly rebuilding what they may, making stronger constructs, perfect, completely immune to chaos as the Iron Hands always have been.
My plan brother is to lead a covert mission via valkyrie and thunderhawk transport unseen and unknown into the rear of the chaos controlled forge, and disable them. Should the forge be nullified then the chaos threat will significantly diminish. Once the 35th Steel green arrive they will be plentiful in number to hold Caminus Alpha, and lend their tactical flexibility and cunning to my plans.
Once the Steel Green arrive, i shall move to assist the beneficium as you request... Commander.
