I've found this variant of Mtg on the web (Elder Dragon Highlander format to give it its full name) which is becoming increasing popular amongst casual players. The basic premise is to build decks using a 'General' (which can be any Legend) card - then using the colour/colours of your 'General' to build an 'army' of 100 INDIVIDUAL cards around him (note that except for basic lands only 1 ofs allowed instead of 4 ofs - good for impoverished players!). If you only have a limited collection of Mtg cards (such as noobs) this is a great way to start deck building, also excellent for multi-player games.
